Jeffrey Tucker

Jeffrey Tucker has performed to popular acclaim in many opera houses across the United States creating a following with both audiences and presenters alike.  He recently made his New York City Opera debut as Judge III MARGARET GARNER which was followed by an appearance as Lesbo AGRIPPINA and in the following season as Siroco L'ÉTOILE.  In 2008 Mr. Tucker was invited back to the Sarasota Opera as part of their grand re-opening season to perform Sparafucile RIGOLETTO and Loredano I DUE FOSCARI and returned in 2011 to perform the role of Reverend John Hale THE CRUCIBLE.  In recent seasons he has added many significant roles to his repertoire; the Sacristan TOSCA and the Grand Inquisitor DON CARLOS with Sarasota and the role of Rocco FIDELIO with Opera Roanoke.  In the 2009-2010 season he performed Sparafucile RIGOLETTO with the Opera Company of North Carolina, Pistola FALSTAFF with Toledo Opera and the roles of Speaker/Death in the rarely performed opera DER KAISER VON ATLANTIS at the Greenwich Music Festival. During the 2010-11 season Mr. Tucker was pleased to return to Toledo Opera for their production of THE RAKE'S PROGRESS, the role of Hortensius LA FILLE DU REGIMENT with Port Opera and a debut with the Utah Symphony in Stravinsky's Pulcinella. Last season he debuted as the title character in THE MIKADO with Virginia Opera and revived Sparafucile with Opera Saratoga. Early in the 2012-13 season Mr. Tucker performed with the Bard Festival in HENRY VIII and Der Tod abd Lautsprecher DER KAISER VON ATLANTIS with the University of Denver.  Later that season Mr. Tucker performed Dr. Bartolo LE NOZZE DI FIGARO, PETER GRIMES and The Duke ROMÉO ET JULIETTE with Des Moines Metro Opera. This season Mr.  Tucker performs Pistola FALSTAFF with Virginia Opera, Sentlinger FEUERSNOT with American Symphony Orchestra and Sacristan TOSCA with the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra.

Mr. Tucker made his international debut to critical acclaim in Katowice, Poland singing the title role in Taneyev's AGAMEMNON with the Silesian Philharmonic.  In 2008 he was featured in a concert performance of CANDIDE at the Konzerthaus in Vienna, which was so popular that it was subsequently revived in Bremen, Germany andvmost recently with the London Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican.

Mr. Tucker has appeared with many companies including New York City Opera, Opera Omaha, Sarasota Opera, Chattanooga Symphony and Opera, Central City Opera, and New Jersey State Opera. He has performed with such conductors as George Manahan, Victor DeRenzi, Hal France, David Neely, Alfredo Silipigni, Marin Alsop, William Fred Scott, John DiCostanzo, Robert Bernhardt, Anthony Barrese and David Briskin.

On the concert stage, Mr. Tucker has performed Schubert Mass in A-Flat with the Rhode Island Civic Chorale & Orchestra and the Mozart Requiem and Solemn Vespers with Mid-America Productions at Carnegie Hall.  Other concert performances include Haydn Creation and Seasons, Bach Magnificat and Handel Messiah and Dettinger Te Deum.
